Units 1 and 2 (North of Chan Street) was demolished in 2003.
Unit 4, demolished in 2006.
Unit 6, demolished in 2011.
Demolition of remaining units (3, 5, 7, and 8) commenced in early July 2022 and as of October 2022 is still underway.
Benjamin Offices were one of the National Capital Development Commission’s “Superstructures”. The NCDC’s superstructures were large government office complexes built in the 1970s, built primarily in the Brutalist style with modular office units. The other superstructures were Cameron Offices (completed: 1976, partially demolished: 2008), Callam Offices (designed: 1974, cancelled: 1975, revived and partially completed: 1981), and Campbell Park (completed: 1976).
